I have been and continue to be very pleased with this Recipe Keeper App. It works seemlessly across Apple & Windows platforms which is truely great as I am not that proficient in figuring out problems with computers and software. I appreciate the fact that I can Sync my recipes between my iPhone, iPad, 2013 iMac and my Windows PC. Just hit the Sync button and Presto! My recipe’s transfer completely and accurately to my other devices. I like the fact that editing a recipe is simple (click on your recipe, hit the edit button, make your edit and hit save). Another benefit is that I can print out my recipes and they do not differ in their appearance from what I see on my devices when using the app. Being able to take a picture of your plated creation and place it at the top of your recipe is super simple and the icing on the cake when using this well thought out tool. I really enjoy cooking and sharing my culinary abilities with friends and family over dinner. Cooking for me is a hobby and a passion. The hobbyist in me appreciates the fact that this kitchen tool simply works and is as dependable as my old Cuisinart food processor! Happy cooking!
  • This app is a rip off

I downloaded this app on my iMac and paid the $5.99 fee to be able to sync across all devices. I go and download to my iPad and try signing in only to be told that I have to pay $5.99 again to be able to sync my account to my iPad. No thanks. I wish there was a way to get my money back for this crap. Don't waste your money, find another app!

Vary sadly - You can't import word/pages (recipe) docs/files. from within your computer. Thay have to be systematically converted into PDF form. More work. from me. thats huge.
  • Love! Love! Love!

I have tried other recipe organizers in the past and this one is my favorite. I love the feature of being able to open it up (sync) on my Mac, my iPad, or my iPhone. Sometimes when we are grocery shopping my husband will ask for a certain dish and now I can just open up my receipes and get the ingredients to make the dish instead of making another trip to the store or searching frantically for the "right recipe" online and hoping I found the one I actually use. I frequently have people ask for my receipes and sharing them is now a breeze! It's so easy to edit a recipe! I have added my own pictures into the recipe too! You can search & organize by course, category, and ingredients. It's so simple to use and adding recipes is easy! I've even scanned in some old recipes from my grandmother. Find a recipe online, no problem; just add it into the Recipe Keeper and you will have it forever! I hated going thru my bookmarks and trying to find a saved recipe. The recipes print very well if you want or need a hard copy. It's my favorite app!!
  • Piece of Cake!

With close to 300 recipes in my my old program, I was justifiably apprehensive about switching to a new one, but I needed one that would sync between my MacBook and my iPad. I decided to give RecipeKeeper a try, since the investment was mimimal. What a pleasant surprise. Within 5 minutes all my recipes were transferred(and that 5 minutes included reading the directions - twice!). I am very pleased with this program. It does almost everything I want it to do without a lot of distracting bells and whistles. Unless I’ve missed something, the only feature that is frustrating, is adding photos - Only One at a Time???? I am so used to shift-clicking (or command-clicking) to select multiple files; this really slows me down. I take step-by-step photos when I’m cooking and adding the photos in one fell swoop would be so helpful.
  • Must pay twice to sync

    By CalqL8r
This would be much nicer if you didn't have to pay for both an iOS version and a Mac version. The $5.99 price is deceiving.
  • It charges you $5.99 multiple times

    By Relativity05
It's absolutely ridiculous that the $5.99 for signing up for PRO is charged *per platform*. The only reason I got this app was that it advertised good syncing capabilities. I primarily plan on using it on my iPad while cooking, but now I will be charged $5.99 TWICE more for wanting to use it on my work computer (Windows) and my home laptop (Mac) in order to add and organize recipes. Also, the GUI is very 2015, which is also sad. It’s 2020 so a proper user interface update would be appreciated, since you’re charging so much money.
  • Best recipe software/app I’ve yet encountered!

I have very high expectations for a recipe organzier/shopping/planning program and this meet, and I am very pleased with Recipe Keeeper. I This is heads above any of the other recipe software apps/software I’ve used or previewed. It’s sync function works flawlessly across multiple devices which is really nice especially if you have a spouse/partner with whom you coordinate on menu planning and shopping For instance, this week, my wife entered a bunch of recipes using her laptop, I then planned out the meal on my laptop (incorpoating those recipes), and then we did the shopping using the mobile versions on our phones. Very, very convenient. The online-recipe importing also works great— much better than any other programs I’ve tried. Also, I have to say that their support was prompt and very helpful when I contacted them about something I wanted to know about. There are a few functionalities that I could like to see them add (such as being able to print recipes directly from the meal-planner (Support told me this was in the works!), but on the whole I am very, very pleased, especially for the low cost ($5.99 per device)
  • Almost perfect EXCEPT collaboration...

unless I'm missing something, I'm pretty bummed to find out I can't share a list and the database with my partner so we can both add to it. If the app doesn't do that then I won't be using it unfortunately.
