  • Waste of money and time

I cancelled my subscription after one day. If you are looking for educational content look elsewhere. Book selection is slim and really does not provide any guidance to reading level. Not a big fan of the video selection either. Biggest complaint: PARENTAL CONTROLS DO NOT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Neat, wish I had more control over content.

This is a neat app, I wish that I could block some things for my 5 year old. I don’t mind my 8 year old watching a little streaming gameplay but I really don’t like it for anyone younger :/
  • Too unlimited on iOS - completely flawed app

I subscribed to FreeTime Unlimited so my kids would have more access to ebooks. Within FreeTime Unlimited they have much wider range of books than kindle unlimited and during this quarantine time we are unable to get books from libraries and can’t afford to keep buying books. What I don’t want is an app that just gives me kids videos and apps to engage with, I just want ebooks. However there are a TON of videos and apps already in their apps whether you ask for them or not. When I signed up it said that you can “remove subscription content from your child’s profile” but infuriatingly you actually CAN’T on an iOS device - the option simply is not there. And when I go to send a note to inquire about it I’m told they do not respond to feedback. Really? This is false advertising for a paid service. Even if you limit the time you allow your kids to spend on things other than books, all the options still show up and if your kids are like mine, they will not be happy to see it and be limited by it. This is a perfect app for parents who think Amazon is equipped to decide what their kids should be watching or reading — but not anyone else. And it’s unfortunate that they widely promote benefits that are not even available if you are not using an amazon device.

  • Good content on a terrible system

    By Therearenonamesleft2
This app is amazing in what it COULD do, the problem is getting it to work even part of the time. It is incredibly difficult to adjust the content, it’s actually near impossible unless you have impeccable will and patience, and enough luck to win the lottery. Most of the time, about 99 times out of 100, when you click on something, nothing happens. I initially thought the issue was the device, but after trying the app on everything from the amazon tablet to an iPad, I’ve come to know it’s just a terribly designed app. The WORST flaw that I discovered when using this on the amazon tablet was that ALL the content came ready to be downloaded, and there was no button to lock everything, then build from there. As soon as my children started using the tablet they would click on a book, the book would then start to download, as children are impatient, they would click something else instead of waiting. Once the app starts doing too many things, it gets overwhelmed and just stops working altogether. Fair warning it starts almost overwhelmed because it has too much content for it to manage and it’s impossible to filter it out. My suggestion is look elsewhere for digital books, I’m sure for a similar subscription price you will get more content you can both access and control.
  • Needs improvement

    By aways wanting to read
In my iPhone 8 some books won’t load. The ones that load take forever but then are better.I think that fixing the load thing would be good. The book that I want to read but doesn’t work is “Everything you need to ace since In one big fat notebook.”
