  • Very disappointing

    By JDR590
I am very disappointed in this app. Limited articles and many of them are days old.
  • No search function severely limits functionality

A straightforward and clean UI, and much less cluttered than the desktop version. But without a simple search function, it’s impossible to read anything beyond what was very recently published.
  • Where's the search button?

I can't believe there isn't a way to search for articles! Very disappointing.
  • Limited articles

I still get warnings that I’m out of free articles.
  • Terrible

My app stopped working. Won’t link to my print edition. Representatives of the Times Union told me over a week ago that it is internal on their end. Terrible. I am disappointed. I get paper delivery at two locations
  • Bizarre

Every time I try to login it tells me I have to link my subscription. I go through all the steps and link the subscription yet it still tells me I have no stories left. I close the app try again and it tells me I have to link the subscription again even though it shows me is having already linked the subscription. Really just a garbage app.
  • Weather/School Closings??

    By MC8896
It annoys me so much that I still have to go to the TU site or other news sites to get the weather and school closings. Why isn’t there a tab for this on the app? That’s a really silly oversight. I have a subscription to TU and really wish I could use it for this too!
  • Disappointing

When I first saw the new app I liked the look of it. However I have discovered many shortcomings. These include loss of the crossword puzzle, lack of a search function, lack of detail in the obituaries and fewer news stories. I still like the look but there does not seem to be any interest by the TU in fixing the many deficiencies.
  • Terrible App

What happened! This was supposed to be an upgrade. Unusable. The news is jumbled and hard to navigate. And once I have read five articles, I get locked out. Need to call to be reset. Bring back the old App, please.
  • Excellent on iPad

I recently subscribed to online access to the TU, but I didn’t like the website version of the newspaper. Too much clickbait, too many animated ads, too many junk ads. This app eliminates all the junk. And it’s as good as any of the top newspaper apps - NYT, WaPo. Well done.
