  • Best online cookbook

I’m no expert in the kitchen but NYT cooking helps me be better every day. From tutorials on how to truss a chicken to great recipes there is no better resource out there.
  • Why aren’t there reviews?

    By MtnMamaCooks
I wish I could hear specifics from those that give star ratings...I find the tips helpful from reviewers but I want to hear why someone gives a recipe a certain number of stars...I want to hear the details about why they liked or didn’t like it, what did their familiar or friends say? Etc.
  • Love the App but not the search

    By Sarahhuggins
I love the way the app works-no adds, photos with recipe, few remarks before getting to the recipe, recipe box for saving recipes, and browsing by category. What I do not like is the search. I want to search based on ingredients, not title. If I want to use a particular ingredient, but do not know what exactly I want to make with it, NYT is virtually useless for that.
  • Outstanding

My go-to collection. Well organized and easy to search by ingredients or recipes, with my favourites saved separately. And, we get to watch videos of the delightful Melissa Clark make delicious magic. How did you know about our lust for Melissa?
  • NYT Cooking App

    By Gajewa Allegheny Front
The app is my primary go to for recipes. Every recipe is explained well and easy to follow. I always read the reviews written about a recipe, too, because they help me improve it when necessary.
  • Great Recipes, App Needs Improved

    By VTKnoxii
For such a reputable media company, this app does not do service to the recipes. The search feature does not function well if you do not word things precise, you cannot search generally on top rated recipes, and you cannot view ratings as you scroll- you have to click on a recipe to see how it is rated. Small tweaks could make this app much better.
  • Love NYT Cooking but app gives trouble

    By tom-rm
I have the hardest of times logging in and staying logged in, I’ve lost numerous saved recipes - perhaps because I choose to pay via Apple? Almost makes the wonderful recipes not worth it, if I can’t save what I love.
  • Great recipes

    By BonnieScheele
I love the recipes but it’s so clunky when pulling a recipe up from email app to NYT recipe app. I am logged in and when I try to bring up Sam’s recommendations the nyt app asks me to log in. Although I already am logged in. Then there’s a ton of errors. I tried searching for the recipe name it Sam often uses a different name in the weekly/daily emails from what’s located in the app.
  • Love the recipes, but functionality needs work!

    By NikiTea
This app is the best cooking app I’ve used for the recipes alone. It’s made me excited to cook. The only disappointing thing is that I can’t seem to save any of my recipes - I keep getting an http error, even when I restart my phone. Can someone fix this?! I’d be happy to update to 5 stars if this gets resolved.
  • Limited low carb options

    By Kayaker Cat
I wish there were more low carb recipe options. There are some, but you have to search hard for them. Not enough that I’ll keep paying the $40+ a year to maintain this service. If I didn’t need to follow a low carb diet it would be great!
